Tufnell Park tube station

South Kentish Town tube station

The station was opened on 22 June 1907 by the Charing Cross, Euston & Hampstead Railway (CCE&HR), as part of its branch to Highgate (now Archway) station.[1]

After the bay platforms at Blackfriars station closed in March 2009, Southeastern services which previously terminated at Blackfriars were extended to Kentish Town (off-peak), or St Albans, Luton or Bedford (peak hours).[8] Trains south of Blackfriars services are operated by Southeastern crews, north of Blackfriars by First Capital Connect crews.[9]

Finchley Central tube station

Finchley Central station was built by the Edgware, Highgate and London Railway (EH&LR) and was originally opened as Finchley & Hendon on 22 August 1867 by the Great Northern Railway (GNR) (which had taken over the EH&LR) in what was then rural Middlesex.[3] The station was on a line that ran from Finsbury Park to Edgware via Highgate. A branch line from this station was constructed by the GNR to High Barnet and opened on 1 April 1872.[3] The station was renamed to Finchley (Church End) on 1 February 1894.
