Places of interest in KT7

Hampton Court Palace

On the south side of the palace is the Privy Garden bounded by semi-circular wrought iron gates by Jean Tijou.[35] This garden, originally William III's private garden, was replanted in 1992 with manicured hollies and yews along a geometric system of paths.[34]

Molesey

The earlist documentary evidence relating to a settlement in Molesey appears on a 7th century charter; shortly after Erkenwald founded Chertsey Abbey in 666 A.D he secured from Frithwald, sub-king of Surrey, a charter endowing the abbey with much of the surrounding land, including Muleseg. Etymologists suggest the town's name is derived from the personal name Mul (pronounced Mule) compounded with the Old English word eg, meaning an island or river meadow - thus Mul's Island. Therefore Molesey is not, as commonly believed, named after the River Mole that runs through it. The prefixes East and West did not appear until about the year 1200, before when there was only one parish centred around what we now call East Molesey.[2] Molesey lay within the Saxon administrative district of Elmbridge hundred.

Hampton Court Park

Hampton Court Park ? sometimes called the Home Park ? is adjacent to Hampton Court Palace and Gardens in southwest London, United Kingdom.

St Mary Moorfields

St Mary Moorfields is a Roman Catholic church in the City of London. The present building, located at 4-5 Eldon Street, was opened in 1903. However, the foundation had a long history prior to this. A chapel was opened in 1686, but was suspended in 1689, in the aftermath of the Revolution of 1688.

CityPoint

CityPoint (previously known as Britannic Tower) is a skyscraper on Ropemaker Street on the northern fringe of the City of London.
