Streatham Common is a large open space on the southern edge of Streatham, London.
Streatham railway station is a station in central Streatham in south London. It is off Streatham High Road, and is in Travelcard Zone 3.
According to the 2001 census, Lambeth has a population of 266,169. 62% of the borough is White, 12% Black Caribbean and 12% Black African. 37% of householders are owner?occupiers. Lambeth has the highest population density of the Inner London boroughs. It also has a high unemployment rate and crime levels are also high. It has the highest number of homicides in any of the London boroughs.[citation needed]
Ponders End is a place in the London Borough of Enfield, North London. It is roughly located in the area either side of Hertford Road (High Street, Ponders End) between The Ride and the Boundary Public House (North to South) and Wharf Road and the Southbury railway station/Kingsway (East to West).[1]
The station was opened as Churchbury railway station, and did not gain its current name until 1960. The goods depot at the station closed in 1970.[3]
