Hackney Downs

Hackney Downs is an open space and a broader area in Lower Clapton, in the London Borough of Hackney; it is also the name of a local council ward. It borders on Stoke Newington to the west and Shacklewell to the south. Although part of Clapton, as a distinct area, it can be said to be bounded by Amhurst Road to the south, Kenninghall Road to the north, Cricketfield Road to the east and the railway to the west, thus occupying most of the western half of Lower Clapton and some of the shrinking district of Shacklewell. The streets north and south of the park are dominated by social housing ? these areas were largely rebuilt during the 1930s and 1960s.

Clapton Girls Technology College

It is situated north of Hackney town centre on the A102. It is a few hundred metres west of Homerton University Hospital. It lies in the parish of St James, Clapton.

Sutton House

Sutton House is a Grade II* listed Tudor manor house in Homerton High Street, Hackney, London, England. It is owned by the National Trust.

Woodside Park tube station

The entrance leading on to the northbound platform is also at the end of a cul-de-sac (Station Road), a turning off Holden Road. There is no automatic ticket barrier at the latter entrance. Just outside this entrance is a small building housing a minicab firm.

West Finchley tube station

The area surrounding the station is mainly residential, though there is a parade of shops just outside, as well as local play- and infant schools. The station is not particularly well attended, with the ticket office often closed, due to the low usage of the station, situated as it is in a relatively wealthy middle-class area, where most people prefer to use their own transport.[citation needed] In the rush hour the station has fairly good usage.
