The coordinates for the stones are:
The building itself has seen many changes; parts of the existing church have survived from medieval times, such as the 15th century tower and some of the nave arcading, and the early 16th century Bishop West Chapel, built by Bishop Nicholas West. Most of the building, however, dates from the substantial re-build of 1836. Some of the pillars and arches in the nave are medieval, but both the north and the south arcades were widened in the 1836 rebuilding.
East Putney is a proposed stop on the Chelsea-Hackney Line. It is envisaged that the station's District Line service will be replaced by the new line.
To get from one platform to the other it is necessary to cross a footbridge, or to leave the station and make a journey round the adjacent streets. There is a route from the ticket office onto the bridge without going through the ticket barrier, but it is necessary to go through the barrier to get from either the bridge or the ticket office onto the southbound platform.
No bus route serves the station directly, but London Buses route 326 goes very near (1 minute's walk). This has encouraged use of the station, which was formerly under-used. Bus routes 82, 125, 221 and 460 stop about 10 minutes' walk from West Finchley Station.
