Penge West railway station is in the London Borough of Bromley in south London. It is in Travelcard Zone 4, and the station is managed by London Overground and trains are operated by Southern.
In 2007 the LRCC track was temporarily closed to allow some work to be done to the swimming pool building. The machinery involved caused damaged the track and, although repairs were done, they were not sufficient to reopen the track and the managers have seemingly dissolved the club. Although no official races are organised to date, enthusiasts still attend the track for fun and to practice.

The Upper Room by Chris Ofili was exhibited at the Victoria Miro gallery in 2002: it consists of thirteen paintings, each of a rhesus macaque monkey, installed in a purpose-built room designed by David Adjaye.[13]Adrian Searle, art critic of The Guardian, wrote that it was a work the Tate had to buy.[13] In July 2005, the Tate announced the purchase of the work as the centrepiece of a new hang at Tate Britain.[13]
From the start, City Road station was little used, and discussions of its closure took place as early as 1908.[1] However, the station remained open until 8 August 1922 when the C&SLR's northern section between Euston and Moorgate was closed to enable the diameter of the tunnels to be increased from 3.2 m (10 ft 6 in) to the Underground's standard diameter of 3.56 m (11 ft 8¼ in), so that larger and longer Standard Stock trains could be operated.
