Moving Learn How to Hold a Moving Sale
Moving can be tiring, frustrating and emotional. Moving to a new place means living to a new place and it is always a perfect timing to start fresh and new with your life. Moving also means letting go some of your old things, but most of the time letting go of things that were kept is hard to do because they hold a sentimental value to you. Moving Sale for a Stress Free Move Holding a moving sale is the wisest thing you will do to lessen the number of boxes you will bring when you move out. Here are some tips that you can use: 1. Identify and list down all the items that you will need to leave behind and items you need to put on sale. Make sure items that you need to put on sale are clean are still in good condition. 2. Make an inventory of the items that need to be sold. 3. You can ask your neighbors and friends who want to join you in your sale. Multifamily sales attract more buyers. Make sure not to schedule your sale with other holidays or community activities. 4. Once you mark your sale days, go and advertise it. Consider advertising in your local newspaper. Make sure to have an additional date to substitute any rainy day during your sale schedule. 5. Create inviting posters and try to ask permission to your parish church, local businesses, and grocery stores where you would post your posters. 6. Do not forget to invite your friends and ask your friends and loved ones to invite their circle of friends, too. Things You Need Before the Sale 1. Aside from preparing and decorating your garage or venue for your sale, make sure you have your cash box, price list and price tags, tables and chairs, calculators, your inventory sheets, markers, labels, signs, newspaper or sacks for wrapping, and change. 2. Keep track of items sold. Make sure to keep track of the items you sold and the items that are on sale on your inventory sheet. 3. Make sure to code each of your items especially if your family and friend’s items are included in your shop. Try to color code the labels to identify which one is yours. 4. Your shop should be categorized properly. Group all similar items like toys, clothing, appliances, home décor, etc. 5. Make sure to separate the expensive items and items on sale. You can also formulate a package deal for specific items like bathroom accessories, kitchenware, etc. 6. Do not forget to post your posters and signs at major intersections. Do not forget to put directions for posters that are far away from your shop. Do not forget to remove all your posters after your sale. 7. Make sure to organize and display your items properly especially the clothing. Use tables to display your items. Never put them on the ground. Consumers prefer items being sold that are on the table instead of bending down to see the items.
