Worcester Park railway station

In October 2007, a 14 year old girl fell into Platform 1 whilst attempting to board a train. The girl, whose destination was Raynes Park station, was boarding the train which terminated at London Waterloo to go to Raynes Park High School for school when she slipped and fell into the platform. She was holding onto her bag which was jammed in the train door. A passenger hit the emergency stop button as the train was departing at speed. The girl was sent to hospital, and recovered.

Motspur Park railway station

On the 6 November 1947, there was a train crash at Motspur Park station which killed 4 and injured 12. In foggy conditions, a train was incorrectly authorized to pass a danger signal, and collided with another train that was crossing the line in front of it.[2]

Chessington Hall

Crisp died on 24 April 1783 and is buried in the churchyard at Chessington. He is commemorated by a memorial in the church. The original house, said to date to 1520, was demolished in 1832 and replaced by a new building. From about 1850 to 1910 the Hall was occupied by the Chancellor family; their estate papers are housed in the Surrey History Centre in Woking. In the 1930s the village of Chessington was chosen as a centre for council housing. The house and estate were purchased by compulsory purchase order of Kingston Borough Council in 1946, and the Hall demolished in 1965, at a time when historic houses were regarded as of little value. The housing estate built on the estate is a typical example of 1950s architecture. Nothing survives of the rural charm or history of Chessington Hall, except for the monuments and graves of its occupants in Chessington churchyard.

Crouch End railway station

Crouch End railway station is a former station in the Crouch End area of north London. It was located between Stroud Green station and Highgate station on Crouch End Hill just north of its junction with Hornsey Lane. The station building was located on the road bridge over the railway but nothing remains of the structure today.
