Harrow Weald

Harrow Weald is an area in London, England. It includes a suburban development and forms part of the London Borough of Harrow.

Stanmore tube station

In 1934, a proposal to extend the Metropolitan line onwards to Elstree station on the Northern Heights plan was discussed by the LPTBs Engineering Committee; this would allow Metropolitan trains to stable at the proposed Aldenham depot. It would have required 1.2 miles of double track tunnel[3]; Stanmore station being constructed with possible further extension in mind.

Canons Park tube station

The station was opened on 10 December 1932 by the Metropolitan Railway (MR) on the MR's extension from Wembley Park to Stanmore.[2] The station was originally named Canons Park (Edgware) although the suffix was dropped the following year.[3] On 20 November 1939,[2] services on the Stanmore branch were transferred to the Bakerloo Line and, on 1 May 1979, they were transferred again to the Jubilee Line.[2]
