The station is located between Deptford Bridge and Lewisham stations, and is on the boundary of Travelcard Zone 2 and Zone 3.
Lewisham tube station was an uncompleted station planned to be built on the Jubilee Line on the London Underground. Preliminary construction work was begun before the plan was delayed by lack of funds. Eventually the route that the station was due to be on was changed, leading the station to be cancelled.[6]
The two main road routes through Deptford are the A200 which runs along Evelyn Street and Creek Road,[120] and the A2 which runs along New Cross Road.[121] The A20 marks the southern boundary of the area, along Lewisham Way and Loampit Vale.[122]
The West Stand was again renovated in the early 1980s, however the project was poorly managed and the stand took over 15 months to be completed with cost overruns having severe financial implications. This West Stand is parallel with Tottenham High Road and is connected to it by Bill Nicholson Way.
Ponders End Allotments Club is a track from the (1975) Chas and Dave album One Fing 'n' Annuver.[8]
