Sutton House is a Grade II* listed Tudor manor house in Homerton High Street, Hackney, London, England. It is owned by the National Trust.
In May 1916, the name was changed to Clapton County Secondary School for Girls when it moved to new buildings in Laura Place. Due to WWII, in September 1939, the school was evacuated to Bishop's Stortford. It was called the John Howard Secondary School for Girls, named after John Howard (prison reformer) (1726-90), in 1947 and had around 450 girls. In 1966, the Queen Mother visited the school.
City Road on the London Underground is a disused tube station. It was one of the stations built when the City & South London Railway (C&SLR) (now part of the Northern Line) opened its extension from Moorgate to Angel on 17 November 1901. It is located between Old Street and Angel.
The station was, from the early 1960s, closed on Sundays. In the 1970s it was also closed on Saturdays.
